In our last issue, we reported the availability of Wavelength Audio's entry level USB DAC, the Proton, The Proton is a solid-state, portable, battery-powered device with a headphone output and software volume control that appears on your desktop. It can be used while traveling or as part of a home audio system. Unfortunately, manufacturing delays prevented the release of the Proton for quite a while, but we are pleased to announce that it is now available at the projected price of $900.
