Those of you who have visited us in the store and heard us demonstrate the improvement in detail and spatiality one can obtain by placing a Gingko Audio isolation base under a component can easily understand why we are so fond of their Cloud and Mini Cloud isolation products. In an effort to make these sonic improvements more affordable, especially for those who want to put isolation platforms under several components, Gingko Audio has now introduced the Semi-Cloud at $150. We now have a way to offer you effective vibration control at a very affordable price.

To make the Semi-Cloud's price lower than other models such as the Cloud 10 and Cloud 11, Gingko Audio has eliminated the top cover section that extends downward to hide the isolation balls. The result looks rather like the Cloud 9 for the VPI turntable. The Semi-Cloud consists of a base plate with 9 drilled holes to accommodate the isolation balls. The Semi-Cloud comes standard with 5 balls to support up to 50 lbs optimally. One may order additional balls to support up to 100 lbs. The Semi-Cloud offers performance that is slightly better than the Mini Clouds and is more stable. The underside of the component sits directly on top of the isolation balls while the equipment's feet are lifted off of the shelf. This minimizes the height needed for clearance.
