Simaudio/MOON

This year Simaudio/MOON has released their new 390 all-in-one preamplifier at $5300 and has also improved their MiND streaming product by upgrading it to MiND 2 at the same price as the original MiND, $1800.

The MOON 390 is a multi-function product that has the function of a modern network player (MiND 2 included), DAC, preamplifier, headphone amplifier, and phono stage, all in one chassis. Roughly, it combines the feature set of both the model 350P and 380D while adding even more features. It is essentially an all-in-one music center without a power amplifier. It's main features include:

• Roon-ready
• Supports Tidal, Deezer, and Qobuz music services
• Streaming of local sources to other zones
• Supports MQA and DSD decoding
• Menu-configurable moving magnet/moving coil phono stage
• High-end ESS DAC PRO chipset
• Up to 32-bit/384 kHz sampling rate (USB input)
• Multi-room synchronized playback
• HDMI 2.0 switching (4k, HDCP 2.2)
• MHP (MOON Hybrid Power - Universal Power Supply), formerly only available on more expensive models

The 390 has every kind of input and output you could possibly need, including SPDIF, optical, USB and balanced digital inputs as well as single-ended line level and phono level analog and balanced inputs. It also has single-ended, balanced, and headphone outputs. There are both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi receivers and an Ethernet connector for network connectivity. Finally, there are four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output for your video devices. Yup, this unit has pretty much everything you need!

In addition to having all of the features of the original MiND, the new MiND 2 also includes:

All of the MOON models with built-in MiND streaming will henceforth be using the MiND 2 version.
