Two new models are on offer this year. They are the Sphinx V3 hybrid integrated amplifier and the DragoN hybrid power amplifier.

Rogue Audio has just announced the new Sphinx V3. The remarkable-sounding Sphinx has received significant upgrades that make its performance even better than ever. A completely redesigned phono section now accommodates both low- and high-output Moving Magnet and Moving Coil cartridges. User adjustable cartridge loading and gain adjustable from 44dB to 60dB ensure you will achieve the very best results from your favorite phono cartridge. The headphone amplifier has also been completely re-engineered around MOSFET devices that yield greater power and improved performance. Now even difficult-to-drive headphones are simplicity itself for the Sphinx V3. The highly-regarded, tube-based line stage has also been updated for even better sound with your preferred line level sources. Finally, the variable outputs are now driven off of the tube circuitry for better sound quality with connected ancillary equipment. The retail price of the new Sphinx V3 is $1,495 ($1,595 with remote).

In other news, the formidable Medusa hybrid power amplifier has been replaced by the new DragoN. The DragoN has been designed around the Hypex NCore NC500 amplifier module (hence the capital N in DragoN). The unique circuit design is based on their proprietary TubeD technology which integrates the tube input stage into the Hypex output stage to provide outstanding tube sound with a remarkable 300Watts of power per channel. With its cool operation and no regular tube maintenance, the DragoN is an exceptionally versatile and easy-to-use amplifier for virtually any high end application. Being microprocessor controlled, the DragoN is able to feature smart turn-on sequencing and sophisticated protection circuitry to detect overcurrent conditions, short circuits, and DC offset at the outputs. The DragoN is priced at $3,995.
