To celebrate its 35th anniversary, Audio Physic has updated three of its most popular models. These are the new Step 35 ($3795), the new Tempo 35 ($8795), and the new Avanti 35 ($9995).

The STEP 35 and Tempo 35 models benefit from technological insights that were invented during development of their top models. Thus, they feature the exclusive HHCT IIII tweeters and, now, brand new for the 35-series, the HHCM III midrange drivers, the fidelity of which extends far beyond the audible range. In this design, the suspension system and the chassis basket are mechanically decoupled from one another in a radical design involving the hyper-holographic cone chassis. Resonance detrimental to sound due to micro-vibrations is, thus, combated where it originates and effectively reduced. The advanced HHCM III chassis also makes a difference on the low and medium tones. The result is a dramatic gain in precision and attention to detail. The crossovers have also been updated with individual components selectively protected from micro-vibrations, and the interior wiring has been intuitively streamlined. Both models also have upgraded input terminals that are the latest generation WBT connectors. The result of all of these measures is significantly higher resolution, enhanced homogeneity, and stunningly-authentic musicality. Both models also feature newly-redesigned magnetic grilles for improved convenience and cosmetics.

The Avanti 35 is not merely a relaunch of the classic model. The latest Avanti 35 is a newly-developed loudspeaker through and through that uses many design concepts developed for their highest-end models. The aim of the development team was to produce a modern loudspeaker that is equally stunning in terms of looks, engineering, and sound quality. It marks the first time that next-generation Hyper Holographic Cone Technology (HHC-III) has been used for mid-range drivers and tweeters. Through painstaking optimization, harmonic distortion levels have been noticeably reduced. Thanks to the HHC III dual-basket design, the chassis of the driver is only indirectly connected to the baffle of the loudspeaker. A huge effort went into the design. Yet, as seen in the high-end and reference-line models, it is rewarded by an impressively precise, extremely detailed and neutral sound.
