Sonus faber Lumina V amator loudspeaker

The Lumina II and V Amator loudspeakers are built on the strengths of their predecessors, Lumina II and V, with improved cosmetics, performance, and upgraded crossover technology. Amator is an evocative name which has always characterized all the special Sonus faber models. Made in their Vicenza, Italy factory, Lumina Amator incorporates iconic Sonus faber design materials, including wood and leather. Lumina Amator features the simple squared design of the Lumina collection with new front panels featuring 45-degree woodgrain lacquered veneers. The Lumina Amator crossovers have inherited the technology created during the development of the new Homage collection. Many of the design solutions adopted by Lumina Amator are derived from those of the Amati G5 and Guarneri G5. Lumina Amator's boast upgraded crossover networks at higher frequencies, elevating the overall listening experience to new heights. Both models are available in red, wenge, and walnut high-gloss finishes.

Sonus faber Concertino G4 loudspeakerContinuing the tradition of Sonus faber's history of luxury loudspeaker construction, the Concertino G4 2-way loudspeaker system is designed to deliver the ultimate audio immersion experience. It is a combination of a classic design with cutting-edge advancements in technology. It features a 1-inch silk dome tweeter with D.A.D. technology and a 5-inch, long-throw paper pulp midrange/woofer with an organic basket, a Sonus faber signature element. Unlike its predecessor, the bass reflex duct is now placed at the back of the cabinet to avoid front turbulence noise. The sound quality of the Concertino G4 loudspeaker is also improved through the use of aluminum for the ring enclosing the silk tweeter and walnut wood for the output of the reflex duct. The crossover design has been kept simple, now with a phase-coherent design for a more accurate phase alignment and a more defined, three-dimensional sound image. Concertino G4 marks the first introduction of a new eco-friendly leather, produced by the Italian start-up company, Ohoskin, used to cover the front baffle and cork structure. This plant-based alternative to leather is one of the first non-fossil compositions , ensuring that audiophiles who purchase Concertino G4 receive materials of the highest quality while making a positive environmental impact. The unique innovation of Concertino lies in the structure of its central chassis which is crafted out of cork. The structure of cork allows it to mold cleanly into each design location, limiting internal resonances and reducing damping material inside the cabinet. This natural material adapts to the different needs of each loudspeaker, making it ideal for Concertino but also a valuable asset to a growing number of other collections, such as Suprema and Sonetto. In keeping with the tradition of this company's luxury loudspeaker designs and natural sound philosophy, the side walls of the cabinet are made of solid walnut, a material known not just for its quality but also its acoustic properties. The ribbing of the surface adds structure and rigidity to the wood cabinet in place of internal bracing. The Iron Stand, featuring iron and walnut veneer wood, is designed specifically for the Concertino G4. This stand combines robust materials with elegant detailing, offering a sophisticated support solution that complements the loudspeaker's classic design.

Sonus faber Sonetto I G2 loudspeaker

Sonetto G2 ushers in a new generation of the laudable Sonetto series: the company's first more affordable collection to incorporate acoustic technologies found in Suprema, the flagship of the Sonus faber catalog. With its lute-shaped cabinets and natural materials, the Sonetto G2 series embodies the company's traditional design principles, seamlessly blending aesthetics and performance to deliver their signature natural sound.

So what's new and improved in the G2 models? First developed for the Suprema, the Camelia midrange driver features the recognizable membrane inspired by the Camelia flower's shape and is left unpainted to ensure total sound purity. It is then mounted on a unique organic basket. Its unorthodox shape avoids the resonances typically found in circular-shaped cones. An aluminum Phase Plug allows for optimized frequency response and clarity, both on and off axis. The Camelia Midrange is featured on the Sonetto VIII, the Sonetto V, and the Sonetto Center G2 models. Another legacy of the Suprema is the innovative cork chamber design featured in the Sonetto V and Sonetto VIII G2 models which enhances midrange resolution and natural sound quality. By eliminating parallel walls, the design achieves optimal acoustics, allowing for precise control over sound propagation and resonance. The silk dome D.A.D. tweeter allows pristine and detailed high-frequency reproduction, completing the rich and balanced listening experience of the Sonetto G2 loudspeakers. The surrounds of the woofers and mid-woofers feature a unique Camelia pattern that not only adds elegance to the visual aesthetics but also helps reduce interference and improve sound dispersion. The cones feature paper pulp sandwich structures that ensure precise and dynamic bass response. They are paired with organic baskets, optimal for air flow. This reduces unwanted wave reflections and their concomitant frequency and phase disturbances. Other special features include:

  • Mid-High unity flange wrapped in leather (inspired by Olympica Nova and Stradivari)
  • 45-degree, angle top wood finish
  • Metal finished rings around all drivers
  • Single driver dust grills
