Amator is an evocative name which has always characterized all the special Sonus faber models. Made in their Vicenza, Italy factory, Lumina Amator incorporates iconic Sonus faber design materials, including wood and leather. Lumina Amator features the simple squared design of the Lumina collection with new front panels featuring 45-degree woodgrain lacquered veneers. The Lumina Amator crossovers have inherited the technology created during the development of the new Homage collection. Many of the design solutions adopted by Lumina Amator are derived from those of the Amati G5 and Guarneri G5. Lumina Amator's boast upgraded crossover networks at higher frequencies, elevating the overall listening experience to new heights. Both models are available in red, wenge, and walnut high-gloss finishes.
Sonetto G2 ushers in a new generation of the laudable Sonetto series: the company's first more affordable collection to incorporate acoustic technologies found in Suprema, the flagship of the Sonus faber catalog. With its lute-shaped cabinets and natural materials, the Sonetto G2 series embodies the company's traditional design principles, seamlessly blending aesthetics and performance to deliver their signature natural sound. So what's new and improved in the G2 models? First developed for the Suprema, the Camelia midrange driver features the recognizable membrane inspired by the Camelia flower's shape and is left unpainted to ensure total sound purity. It is then mounted on a unique organic basket. Its unorthodox shape avoids the resonances typically found in circular-shaped cones. An aluminum Phase Plug allows for optimized frequency response and clarity, both on and off axis. The Camelia Midrange is featured on the Sonetto VIII, the Sonetto V, and the Sonetto Center G2 models. Another legacy of the Suprema is the innovative cork chamber design featured in the Sonetto V and Sonetto VIII G2 models which enhances midrange resolution and natural sound quality. By eliminating parallel walls, the design achieves optimal acoustics, allowing for precise control over sound propagation and resonance. The silk dome D.A.D. tweeter allows pristine and detailed high-frequency reproduction, completing the rich and balanced listening experience of the Sonetto G2 loudspeakers. The surrounds of the woofers and mid-woofers feature a unique Camelia pattern that not only adds elegance to the visual aesthetics but also helps reduce interference and improve sound dispersion. The cones feature paper pulp sandwich structures that ensure precise and dynamic bass response. They are paired with organic baskets, optimal for air flow. This reduces unwanted wave reflections and their concomitant frequency and phase disturbances. Other special features include:
Each Sonetto G2 loudspeaker is crafted with pride in Vicenza, Italy at Sonus faber's headquarters.
