In our last issue, we introduced the RP-5, the first preamplifier designed around Rogue Audio's new RP-X platform. The newest model in the RP-X series is the affordably-priced RP-1 at $1695.

With terrific specifications, audio quality, and flexibility, the RP-1 sets a very high standard for an entry level tube preamplifier. Along with the musical and accurate sound you expect from a Rogue Audio preamplifier, the RP-1 boasts an impressive list of features. These include:

• A multi function remote that controls volume, source, balance and mute
• 40 or 60 dB MM and MC phono gains with adjustable loading to accommodate a wide variety of cartridges

• Improved phono circuit with 6dB additional gain (same phono stage as the Cronus II)
• Addition of a mute button on the new remote control
• Lower noise floor
